Drug addiction is the excessive and repetitive use of substances, despite harmful consequences to a person’s life, health, and relationships. Patients get valuable peer support, strengthen interpersonal skills, and improve self-awareness. Family therapy addresses group dynamics within a family system, with a focus on improving communication and interrupting unhealthy relationship patterns.

The young men in our Los Angeles sober living homes evaluate their skills and ambitions with the help of our Director of Education before being assigned to one of these tracks with the cooperation of their families. The NSM is designed to galvanize federal government adoption of AI to advance the national security mission, including by ensuring that such adoption reflects democratic values and protects human rights, civil rights, civil liberties and privacy. In addition, the NSM seeks to shape international norms around AI use to reflect those same democratic values, and directs actions to track and counter adversary development and use of AI for national security purposes. New York City is a metropolitan municipality with a strong mayor–council form of government.592 The city government is responsible for public education, correctional institutions, public safety, recreational facilities, sanitation, water supply, and welfare services. Each borough is coextensive with a judicial district of the state Unified Court System, of which the Criminal Court and the Civil Court are the local courts, while the New York Supreme Court conducts major trials and appeals. Manhattan hosts the First Department of the Supreme Court, Review Review Harbor House Appellate Division, while Brooklyn hosts the Second Department. There are several extrajudicial administrative courts, which are executive agencies and not part of the state Unified Court System.
