The ghosts of a deceased husband and wife are haunted by an insufferable family who have moved into their home and hired a malevolent spirit to exorcise them. This is his favorite Michael Keaton movie.. Otho’s shoes when he spray paints the walls in the house, he changes from his red fire truck elf looking shoes to white sneakers as he walks through the bathroom and then changes back to his red elf shoes when he goes into the next room rooms. Adam : What are your qualifications? Beetlejuice: Oh. Well… I’m a graduate of Harvard Business School. I travel quite a lot.
NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK?
I survived the black plague and had a pretty good time doing it. I’VE SEEN THE EXORCIST ABOUT 167-SEVEN TIMES AND EACH TIME I WATCH IT GET FUNNIER… NOT TO MENTION YOU’RE TALKING TO A DEAD GUY… Do you think I am qualified? The Geffen logo is accompanied by a haunting version of the song Banana Boat (sung by the film’s composer Danny Elfman). A work print of the film has surfaced with several added/alternate scenes. This version of the film runs about 2 minutes shorter than the theatrical release, has a few extra scenes and some others missing, is in black and white, and has a timecode on the bottom. This version has 4 main differences:
Alternate Scene:
The scene where Adam tries to leave the house and his wife dies is different.
Adapted into Terror Toons (2002)
Instead of a desert, he sees an empty darkness full of rolling gears. Extra scenes:
There is an added scene where Lydia creates images of Adam and Barbra. After her mother yells at her and accuses her of cutting holes in her sheets, Lydia runs upstairs and tries to convince her father that the pictures are real. There is more to the scene where the adults search the attic for ghosts as we see a desert monster trying to eat Adam and Barbra as they hang from the attic window. Finally, there’s another 2 minute scene at the end where we see Lydia riding her bike home from school and her parents on the phone with Jane telling her they don’t want to sell the house. Lydia’s dance scene is shorter in this version and there is no scene with Beetlejuice in the waiting room. The film ends with the last exterior shot of the house. Day-OTraditional, lyrics by William A.
and then live as ghosts in the house
Attaway & Irving Burgie [Wrongly attributed as written by William A. Attaway & Irving Burgie (as Lord Burgess)] Featuring Harry Belafonte courtesy of RCA Records. This is a great movie to just watch and enjoy – no need to think or analyze – just enjoy the silliness and cool factor of this pretty movie. A young couple living in their dream home (Alec Baldwin and Gina Davis) is accidentally killed. Some time later, a family of eccentrics (Jeffery Jones, Catherine O’Hara) and their disgruntled daughter (Winona Ryder) move in–much to the spirits' annoyance. This is because instead of respecting the charms of a beautiful home, parents want to turn him into a pseudo-intellectual freak. However, Winona is somehow able to see and communicate with the ghosts – but her parents can’t believe they exist or that they’re doing something wrong to the house. The dead couple tries to scare the family, but their attempts are really lame (and funny) and that only makes the weirdos stay even more!
The actors also do a great job
So out of desperation, they seek out the meanest and most unpleasant ghost, Beetle Juice (Michael Keaton), to help them. The problem is, while Beetle Juice can scare the crap out of anyone, he’s also a total maniac, and once he’s unleashed, he’s incredibly hard to stop. The movie is full of many things you would expect. seen in a movie directed by Tim Burton – weird special effects, weird set-up (after the freaks transform the house), fun and a definite “cool factor”.
