It is a good action film with some extremely graphic violence accompanying the well-choreographed action scenes
And by graphic violence, I mean some of the standard action movie henchman murders reach a level of brutality that is terrifying. The story is simple enough: an elite assassin is suspended from active duty after failing a mission.
He soon finds a new purpose to protect/avenge a local boy
The performances are good, there’s plenty of wild action, and the story is familiar yet compelling. Unfortunately, it gets bogged down in an extraneous subplot early in the third act, and said subplot absorbs the ending.
