Ingrid and Marta were close friends in their youth when they worked together in the same magazine. When Pedro Almodovar sent Tilda Swinton the script, he asked her who should play Ingrid.
They both meant Julianne Moore
Shown in The 7PM Project: Episode 8 September 2024 (2024). There are more happy moments than sad ones in this film, despite the fact that its main theme is death and how we deal with it, or don’t deal with it.
Not seeing many of his films, I can’t confirm this
I haven’t seen much of Almodóvar, but I was interested to see his first English film, especially with Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton in it. Other reviews say that this is nothing new from the director.
I don’t know about it, I think that less is more
I admire the way he can take what we hardly talk about and bring color and happiness to it. There also seems to be a consensus that more could have been done with the characters, given the quality of actors available to Pedro Almodovar.
Why do more?
Enough of the characters’ backstories are revealed to tell the story.
