Taylor Sheridan makes her female character very shallow, even though she seems strong, so this series is no different. But for me, this show wins because Billy Bob steals every scene; even the ones where the women are half-naked!

It’s his show!

The way the oil business is portrayed is probably very true to how the industry is run. BB has the best lines to describe the value of oil and what makes the world (oil) go round.

His female characters are very flawed

The settings are great, the way the rigs work is actually quite educational. I don’t get why the daughter is such a bimbo and the wife is such a loser, but I suppose that’s Sheridan’s way.

But if you want great lines and the best Billy Bob Thornton, watch this show

He’s brilliant.
