Simba, who has become king of the Pride Lands, is determined that his son will follow in his footsteps as the origins of his late father, Mufasa, are investigated. James Earl Jones, who played Mufasa from 1994 to 2019, died on September 9. 2024 at the age of 93. When he was offered the role, he turned it down, and this film is dedicated to his memory.
