In the timeless city of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendia family navigate love, oblivion, and the inevitability of their past and destiny. It is Netflix’s most expensive Latin American project to date, involving Colombian groups and local residents.
A real joy to watch this Colombian cinematic marvel
The screen adaptation exceeded my expectations and removed all fears of a potentially disastrous attempt to make a decent film out of such a cold "unfilmable" novel. It looks completely authentic and magical to my eyes.
The cinematography is excellent and brings out the beauty of Colombia very vividly
Bravo to the creators of Columbia and the crew of Columbia for a very thoughtful, careful and delicate adaptation of one of the most beautiful novels ever written! Costumes, colonial architecture, interior design of buildings and a carefully selected musical portrait – an unforgettable atmosphere of Colombian magic in every detail..
