Business Development and Cyber Technologies


The process of business development involves looking for new opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with customers, creating strategic partnerships, as well as implementing strategies to boost profits. It impacts every department in a company from marketing to human resources. This field is especially challenging because it requires constant monitoring of cyberattacks, which can disrupt or even destroy systems and also compromise the data of businesses and organisations.

The last decade has seen a steady rise in the sophistication of cyberattacks with hackers targeting more and more digital assets. Particularly, the number of attacks grew because bad actors were focused on monetization and profit. This is why cybersecurity has vaulted up the list of priorities for numerous companies. Implementing effective security technologies is vital to the success of any business due to the risk of losing customers as well as lawsuits and fines from regulatory authorities.

The cost of adopting cybersecurity technology can be prohibitive to SMEs who operate under tight financial constraints. This study aims to identify the internal and external factors that document safety with secure viewing and watermarking affect SMEs’ adoption of cybersecurity technology. To identify relevant studies A systematic literature review was conducted using Google Scholar, databases such as EBSCO, ProQuest and EBSCO, and databases like EBSCO. To find relevant studies, key terms such as cybersecurity or data breaches were searched for.

This study suggests that technological characteristics and perceived utility are the primary factors that influence the adoption of cybersecurity technology in SMEs. Further, IT modularity, observability, and trialsability are all positively linked with the use of cybersecurity technologies in SMEs.
